Visit 3 of the top 5 destinations in Costa Rica. Arenal Volcano National Park, white sand beaches at Manuel Antonio National Park and Corcovado National Park.

You will find one of the most biodiverse places on the planet in a travel package of 9 days and 8 nights. Costa Rica awaits you!

Day 1 Arrival to Arenal

Arrival to Arenal

Today la Fortuna awaits you! Optionally we can offer you a shuttle from San Jose, Puerto Viejo or Monteverde. Even from far away you can see the volcano cone, if it is not hiding shyly behind clouds. After checking in, you can enjoy a cocktail by the pool or in the bubbling Jacuzzi, relax on the balcony or terrace, or indulge in a massage at the spa.

Day 2 Ziplining, Volcano & Hot Springs

Ziplining, Volcano & Hot Springs

Shortly before 8 a.m. you will be picked up for today's tour together with other international travelers - luckily the delicious breakfast is already available from 7 a.m. on. The adrenaline adventure in Costa Rica begins after your trailer has been pulled by a tractor from the starting point for the first three kilometers or so. Enjoy the fabulous view at the vantage point of the Pino Blanco waterfall, then it's on to the first of the seven cables. In total you rush about 2.7km on steel cables over canyons, through the rainforest and also over the La Fortuna waterfall. The shortest cable is about 120m long, the longest almost a kilometer. In addition, you will also get an insight into how a village of the indigenous Malekus is constructed. Afterwards you will go back to the hotel. In the afternoon, one of our guides will be waiting for you with other travelers and the journey will take you closer and closer to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Together you will walk over the cooled lava fields of the last big eruption in the 60's and pass primary and secondary forests. It is not uncommon to see monkeys, sloths and other animal inhabitants. On a clear day, the viewpoint offers an impressive view of the volcanic cone, Lake Arenal and the Tilarán mountain range. After about two hours we will continue to the Paradise Hot Springs for the relaxing part of the day - the tasty dinner is already included for you! At about 9 pm we will drive back to the hotel.

What a day!

Day 3 Day Off at La Fortuna, Arenal

You certainly won't be bored today!

Day 4 Transportation from Arenal to Manuel Antonio

Transportation from Arenal to Manuel Antonio

After breakfast, the shuttle bus is already waiting for you. It takes about five hours to reach Manuel Antonio on the shores of the Central Pacific. This small national park is famous for its dream beaches and magnificent wildlife viewing opportunities. After check in you can already take a short walk to the public beach Espadilla, relax to the sound of the waves or refresh yourself with a coconut drink. Can you already hear the monkeys in the trees?

Day 5 Manuel Antonio National Park (optional)

Manuel Antonio National Park (optional)

Today you can organize the day according to your own wishes. How about a visit to the national park? You can either book an optional tour or visit the park itself (entrance fee approx. 16 US$). Since the park only offers limited access, it is recommended to reserve the entrance online in advance. The way to the national park entrance is not long and can easily be done on foot - don't forget swimwear, as well as sun and mosquito protection! Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most popular parks in Costa Rica and besides the bright dream beaches, you can often see an abundance of wildlife such as raccoons, coatis, sloths and various species of monkeys. Here also lives the endangered squirrel monkey, which not too rarely jumps in front of the lens.

Note: Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Tuesdays.

Day 6 From Manuel Antonio to Drake Bay

From Manuel Antonio to Drake Bay

Today breakfast is early again, because afterwards the shuttle transfer to Sierpe is waiting for you. On the way through Palmar you can see the pre-Columbian stone balls lying on the sports field from the window. Maybe there will be time for a quick photo. In Sierpe you change into the motorboat of the lodge. The trip takes you first through the mangroves of the Sierpe River, then to the open sea and always along the coast to Drake Bay. A little more than an hour you are on the way, then it is time to take off your shoes, because the disembarkation takes place directly on the beach. With your luggage you will be helped. Welcome to the Osa Peninsula! A real contrast to Manuel Antonio. You can spend the afternoon walking on the beach, watching the locals fishing or just enjoying the sound of the lonely beach.

Day 7 Corcovado National Park

Corcovado National Park

The day starts before 6am today - fortify yourself with breakfast before getting back on the boat. It takes just over an hour to get to la Sirena Station in Corcovado National Park. Now you are really in the wild part of your Costa Rica adventure! At the beach it's time to get off again and your guide will explain the process to you and the other travelers. In Corcovado National Park four species of monkeys, about 400 species of birds, coatis, sloths and various wild cats have already been discovered. Here there are the largest populations of tapirs, jaguars and scarlet macaws in all of Central America. These are the reasons why National Geography has dubbed the park "the point of greatest biological intensity on Earth" and today you are here! In the early afternoon, you'll head back to the lodge from where you can share your impressions with friends and family back home.

Day 8 Day off at Corcovado

Day off at Corcovado

Today it's up to you again! For all underwater lovers we recommend a snorkeling or diving tour in front of Isla del Caño. Here you will find one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in Costa Rica. Dolphins can often be seen on the crossing to the island, whales depending on the season. Caño Island was once an important ceremonial site and cemetery for pre-Columbian Indians. Other options for the day include a visit to the San Pedrillo National Park Station or a mangrove tour. You decide!

We are happy to add your desired tour to the package before the trip for an additional fee.
